{a happy heart}
You know those weekends that are so good you just never want them to end?
I have had one, and I am protesting the return of normal life tomorrow with everything I've got.
I am feeling such gratitude.
Gratitude to my parents for coming to spend Easter with us and for all of the love they heap on all five of us. Gratitude for four day weekends for Ben and the kids. Gratitude for sunny mornings spent at the park and cozy afternoons spent playing at home. Gratitude to Nini for sending the kids Easter money which gave us a really fun hour in the toy and craft aisles at Target. Gratitude to Ben for spending his day off today working on sprucing up the play area in the backyard. Gratitude to Gracie and Luke for all of the help they try to be as they see me struggling at times with the combination of nine-months-pregnant-exhaustion and all of the things that need to be done around here. Gratitude for a weekend full of good food and a fridge full of leftovers. Gratitude for happy kids exhausted after a weekend of fun and ready for an early bedtime- and gratitude that this means my evening simply entails cuddling on the couch with Ben in front of a Redbox movie.
Hope your weekend brought you many moments of gratitude as well. Happy Easter!
