{3:34 AM}
Not being able to sleep sucks.
It is 3:34 in the morning. I have been up for two hours for absolutely no reason. I woke up to use the restroom a little after 1:00 and have not been able to fall back asleep. Ben is out of town. I can't shut my mind off. I have tried staying in bed and attempting to think about nothing. I have tried reading in bed. I am now to the point of such frustration that I have left my bedroom and have come to my desk- probably a really bad move on my part, but I had to try something else.
I keep watching the clock and as I see the time getting closer and closer to when the kids will have me up for the day, I feel such dread knowing how tired I will be tomorrow... and this thought does nothing to relax me.
It seems so ridiculous to be sitting in a dark, quiet house in the middle of the night wishing I could be asleep. Shouldn't a person be able to control this a little better?
I can't blame this inability to fall back asleep on anything. I don't feel overly worried. I have not had any caffeine in over 36 hours. I am yawning as I type and have been yawning for the entire time I've been up. I just can't doze off.
Grrrrrrrrr.
(That was a frustration noise.)
