Do you remember how much money a thousand dollars seemed when you were little? Like, "If I had a thousand dollars, I could buy all of the Barbies in the whole world and a huge Barbie playhouse for them to live in and a big swimming pool and clubhouse for my backyard and a new car for my mom and dad and....."

Sadly, in the adult world, a thousand dollars doesn't stretch quite so far.

Now it's just the deductible you have to pay when a storm knocks a tree onto your garage.

Leslie, I feel your pain. Last year we had a pine tree fall on the front of our house -- and a $2500 deductible. It took two months to get all the repairs done, and Ron did all the cleanup with the help of a chainsaw and the tractor. Sometimes life just sucks. Glad the damage wasn't even more significant.

Just in time for vacation, too. That is no fun! Glad the damage was only to the garage and not the house though. So in the past few months you've endured snakes, Bobcat tractors, hail, and now lightning! Man, that's a whole lotta stuff going on for one yard! See you guys in a couple days! I'm excited!
Glad to hear the damage was just to the garage and that all of you are safe and the kids aren't too traumatized....but it still sucks.
I loved the photo of the kids checking out the hail, at least some of the experience was fun and interesting! See you soon!
