a cozy, lazy Saturday

We took the kids Christmas shopping this morning so they could pick out special gifts for their grandparents. Gracie was very into it, Luke was not. In fact, once Luke couldn't find moving parts animals for Grandpa, he was done and over shopping! Gracie really made me smile with her choices. I'm sure that Gram, Grandpa, Nini, and Papa will love their gifts!

It has begun to snow a bit, and we are settled in for a cozy Saturday evening. Gracie has been hard at work for the past hour making a book about her family, Luke is taking a long nap, and Ben is asleep on the couch in front of a basketball game. I am using the afternoon to start a few projects and it feels great. I think homemade pizza, a fire, and a couple of rented movies are in the plans for our evening, so all in all, a pretty nice Saturday.
