Drew's teacher: Drew, good morning! How are you today?

Drew: Good! We found a bird's nest in our driveway and I brought it to school for the science center.

Drew's teacher: Wow! That's exciting!

Drew: (smiling big) No, it's not. wink. wink. Nobody is going to like it. wink. wink. Nobody is going to want to look at it with the magnifying glass. wink. wink.

Drew's teacher: Wink wink?

Drew: Yeah, that's just an expression I like to use when I am being sarcastic. I don't really mean what I say. I mean the opposite. It's just to be funny. It's called sarcasm.

Drew's teacher: Drew, are you sure you're really just five?

He makes me laugh! His vocabulary and grasp of language is amazing - plus he's very funny.(Okay, so I am little prejudiced!)He was telling me his theory on something the other day and ended his explanation with "Is that a good hypothesis?" I think he picks up a lot of things from Luke - the only other 5 year old who could use hypothesis (and sarcasm) in a sentence at 5!
