If you could no longer have your current profession, what else could you see yourself doing?

I've often thought of starting over and going into nutrition and doing nutrition education, or opening a bakery/cake making business with my sister :). Hmmm, those two things are a bit at odds with each other aren't they?! Well, I'd offer healthy cakes/treats too :)

In my fantasies I always dreamed of being a writer for something like SNL or Jimmy Fallon, but I realize that isn't very possible. For more realistic idea I wish I would have done something more specific like being a Mechanical Engineer. The idea of improving machinery to become more efficient and better really appeals to me. I worry that it might be too detailed and boring at times, so it might not be a great fit. The most realistic profession is becoming a succesful small business owner. I could see running a nice HVAC or plumbing or service based company where I could do sales, set vision and develop a customer base.
This will not come as a surprise to anyone but if I could switch careers, I would become a travel agent or trip planner. I love to research locations and plan trips and I think I've become pretty adept at it. I would love to organize and plan group trips and then be a tour guide to all sorts of interesting spots around the globe.

I think I would enjoy working at a magazine, specifically a design magazine like HGTV. All of the different aspects to it- graphic design, photography, writing, and interior design- appeal to me.

The practical side of me would say I would probably become a Pharmacist or a chemist (like my mama) either at the hospital or in a research role. I am sure I would have enjoyed both and made a good living. If money and stability was not a factor I think I would pursue something more on the creative side although I'm not entirely sure what that would be.

When I grow up I want to be a mom and/or an art teacher or possibly a music teacher. I would also like to be a designer.
