{Luke's birthday weekend}

Ingredients for a fun birthday weekend for our newly eight year old boy:

1. LOTS of playtime:  playtime at home, playtime at the Science Center, playtime with family, and playtime with friends.
St. Louis Science Center

2. Favorite foods of Luke's choosing throughout the entire weekend: P.F. Changs, biscuits and gravy, BBQ pork and homemade fries, pizza, and snickerdoodle cookie cake.

3. Family time! Having all four grandparents in town would have been wonderful in and of itself, but to throw a visit from Uncle Brian in there too..... talk about a recipe for a good weekend! (Brian, in case you didn't hear it the ten times I feel like I said it yesterday- we are SO happy to have you living closer now!)

4. Silly time at a birthday party full of friends.

Avengers themed bow and arrow game

creating shields

Luke's birthday cake request was a snicker doodle cookie cake with absolutely no icing.

finished shields and tough poses

Hulk block stacking game

5. Lots of relaxing time.

cuddling (and napping, in Drew's case) to the Avengers movie

Xbox fun

6. Really cool presents. Really, really cool. His family and friends know him well.

science tools and a microscope from Nini and Papa

lots of science kits from us

a collage from Gracie

huge Lego kit from Gram and Grandpa

It was a great weekend celebrating our Luke.

And I am tired today. :)
