{appreciation}
Note to self: Appreciate today.
Appreciate the sunshine.
Appreciate hot coffee and homemade bread on a cool November morning.
Appreciate that our health is so good that Katie's runny nose is cause for concern.
Appreciate the giggles of the kids on the drive to school this morning.
Appreciate how Drew called Katie his "sweet, sweet baby girl" this morning when he didn't know I was listening.
Appreciate the friendly moms and teachers we encounter each day at Drew's preschool.
Appreciate the colored pencils and paper all over the kitchen floor because they only serve as a reminder of how cute Katie and Drew looked coloring together this morning.
Appreciate Luke's excitement while telling me about the Ice Age this morning.
Appreciate that Gracie and Luke had sweet friends (also siblings) over to play yesterday afternoon and double appreciate the fact that Luke and his friend included Drew in their play.
Appreciate Gracie's excitement over my teaching her to play the flute.
Appreciate that is is almost the weekend and it should be a good one.
Appreciate this quiet house as little ones are napping or off having fun at school.
I have been more focused lately on appreciating the wonderful sweet and simple things in my life and trying very hard not to be bogged down with any of the stresses. I know of a couple families currently dealing with awful circumstances and their struggles serve as a powerful reminder to me that everyday, normal life really is such a blessing.
