I was hanging some pictures and touching up the new paint job in my bedroom this morning when Drew said, "Mom, this pretty much looks like a house now that you did all this work!"

Completely made my day.

It does look great - I couldn't beleive how much you had done in a couple short weeks - although I shouldn't have been surprised! It is not easy to impress an almost 4 year old boy!

Thanks, Patti. I promise I wasn't fishing for a compliment with this post! I just found it to be such a cute statement coming from Drew. I think he was probably repeating a variation of something he has heard Gracie say or something, but it still made my day. :)

It would be neat to know what goes on in that little mind - he so wants to be like the big kids. I'm sure he picks up lots of things that the big kids say, but he's learning that saying nice things to people is a good thing. Remember "You don't know how beautiful you are"! He cracks me up! And he's right, it does look like your house now. I love it.
