{Read Across America Day}

For Read Across America Day on Friday, the students at the primary school were asked to dress up as their favorite book character. The decision of which character to be was quite a task for Luke!  Jack from the Magic Tree House books was not enough of a costume, Harry from Harry Potter was already taken by one of his friends, Sticky from the Mysterious Benedict Society is bald (gasp!), and, according to Luke, both Dan from 39 Clues and Stanley Yelnats from Holes would not work. In complete frustration, he decided he was not going to dress up, but then he thought of Nate the Great and was excited again.

Gracie and I made special Dr. Seuss treats for her class:

Drew's class celebrated on Thursday with Dr. Seuss read- alouds, Dr. Seuss hat art projects, and Dr. Seuss hat treats of their own. I don't have pictures to share, but those three year olds in Dr. Suess hats... oh my goodness! How cute!

It is the little things that keep the school year fun and the kids excited about going to school each day. What fun!
