{birthday weekend}

Luke's seventh birthday was celebrated with lots of family fun this weekend! From the dinner of his choice (chicken, fruit, corn casserole, and snickerdoodle cookies) to extra TV time to fun birthday presents to a really late bedtime, Friday night was a great time for Luke.

Saturday followed with a day handpicked by Luke. He requested breakfast at Cracker Barrell and then a trip to Gatlinburg to visit Wonderworks and Magic Quest- two places that couldn't be any more geared towards seven-year-old boys! It was a long busy day and Ben and I were more than ready to enjoy a quiet Sunday at home today.

I love the look on Luke's face when he's climbing the rock wall. Determination, trepidation and maybe checking to make sure that you are getting a good picture of his climbing. How I love that kid! I think I might just pick those two places for my 58th birthday. This time I will remember to bring my glasses... It looks like a wonderful 7th birthday.

If you look closely, the kids are all upside down in the Wonderworks picture. Grace and Luke are doing hand stands. Drew is hanging from my arm (like a bat.)
