{St. Louis weekend}

Ben and I had a great time traveling to St. Louis last weekend for an overnight getaway, taking Kate with us for a little extra time with our sweet little pea. We packed our two short days with fun- visits with old friends, shopping at some of our favorite stores, eating at some of our favorite restaurants, and just enjoying some much-needed time with one another. We both marveled at how easy one little baby now seems and shook our heads in amazement at the ability to carry on full conversations with one another with very little interruption!

The highlights of the weekend were attending my friend Carrie's wedding on Saturday and meeting Avery and Olivia, the daughters of our good friends Mark and Kelly, on Sunday. The visit was wonderful, but passed by much too quickly. It made me realize (as most visits to St. Louis do) just how much I love that city and our friends there. I would move back in a heartbeat. I left there on Sunday wishing that seven hours in the car wasn't such a daunting task.

June and Kel, it was wonderful to see you. Miss you both already and hope to see you both in Knoxville sometime soon!
