It seemed like such a good idea....
I bought Gracie a sweet little sundress at my favorite childrens' resale shop for a couple of dollars. I showed it to her and she didn't like that it was white. She has definite ideas about her clothes. While at the grocery store on Sunday, I saw Rit fabric dye and thought I had an easy solution. For $2 I could transform the dress into a cheery cherry color and we would both be happy.
Little did I know that the price I would pay for a home dye job would not only be $2 but stained red fingers, a pink sink, a countertop in desperate need of a Magic Eraser, and a ruined tank top. Thank goodness I did this without Gracie's help or it would be two sets of red fingers and two ruined shirts, I'm sure. Things are never really as easy as they seem, are they?
Did I mention that I am really tired today? ;)
