Thoughts on my week-
- Parenting is ten times harder all by yourself.
- I found it really funny when I walked into Chili's on Wednesday night with three young kids and the server asked me if I'd like one of their special grande margaritas for $4.99. I'm thinking not.
- We had quite a snowstorm this week causing school to be cancelled one day and delayed the next. Gracie enjoyed her unexpected break from school.
- Yesterday afternoon my neighbor, Carol, offered to come over and sit with Drew and Ella while I went to Luke's school to throw a Valentine's Day party. Her kids are long grown and she was a bit nervous about watching two babies, but I assured her that Drew would be napping the entire hour and fifteen minutes that I was gone and that most likely Ella would too. I told her that even if Ella was awake, she really didn't have any stranger anxiety and would be super easy. I couln't have been more wrong. Poor Carol! Drew and Ella cried the entire time she was here! I felt awful! She'll think twice about offering to help me again! :)
- The kids are so excited about Valentine's Day and their enthusiasm is contagious. The homemade cards, the hearts, the glitter, the candy....what a sweet little holiday!
- Our babysitter came over last night to play with the kids while I cleaned for a bit and then snuck out to redeem the gift certificate for a one hour massage that I got for Christmas. I left the spa completely relaxed and ready to jump back into all of my responsibilities.
- We have a house hunting trip coming up and I am so excited to see our new town. Ben has been there this week and says he thinks we'll love it.
- I've got another child on antibiotics. This time it's Gracie with a double ear infection.
- We've officially been on the market for four days and not one person has come to see the house. Stupid snowstorm! We have scheduled showings for this weekend and an Open House on Sunday, though, and I am excited to get people in here. Cross your fingers for us for a quick sale- a double mortgage situation would not be fun.
That's my week in a nutshell. Hope yours was a good one!
