Yesterday we met the Halls at Monkey Joe's (a gym full of bounce houses and slides) so the kids could run off some of their excess winter energy. Afterwards, Ben and Scott drove to Bloomington to watch the Illini while Meggie and the boys came over here for pizza and a little playtime.
Gracie giggled at Jackson the entire time they were here, Luke and Trevor played Superheroes, and Drew tried his hardest to keep up with the big kids. When bedtime hit, Meggie and I put all the kids in pajamas and let them make a nest of pillows and blankets in the playroom to watch "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs" while we watched "Four Christmases" in the living room and had a glass of wine.
It was a perfect Saturday evening with good friends.
