After a tea party, tacos, a run to Target, and two chapters of our current read aloud, the kids are asleep and I have a whole quiet house to myself. Aaahhh..... :)
Ben is traveling for the night and I find myself in a ridiculously energetic mood for 9:00 on a Tuesday night. I'm forcing myself to sit for a moment in hopes that I can get to bed at a decent time. Sometimes- too often- I stay up late for no good reason. Rather than winding down, I start big projects when I should be going to bed, catch a second wind, and then stay up until one or two...only to pay for it the entire next day.
Peeks at the kids-
Gracie is looking forward to a field trip to the Nature Center this week. She is feeling super independent lately when it comes to getting herself dressed and ready for school. She has picked out some interesting outfits and gone to school with a couple of pretty interesting hairdos, but she's proud of herself.
Luke is super silly these days. He is all about cracking jokes and trying to make me giggle. He loves going to school on the three days each week that he gets to go because he has two little equally silly friends in his class to play with.
Drew is clearly feeling better as the antibiotics are healing his ears. He's sleeping better, napping better, and is consequently so much happier. He is such a little lover- I couldn't even count the number of kisses he gives us each day. This evening I was sitting on the couch reading to the kids and Drew climbed up next to me and just kept planting kisses on my lips, over and over again. The more he kissed, the more we laughed. The more we laughed, the more he kissed. Silly adorable little baby. :)
