some advice for mothers of little girls:

Be really, really, really hesitant if your five year old ever asks you if she can give herself a pedicure. :)

I was putting away laundry and Gracie came and asked if she could paint her toenails all by herself. I agreed and told her to go sit on the floor of her bathroom. She did this about a month ago and didn't make a mess at all, so I thought she'd be fine. I finished my baskets and went to check on her about ten minutes later....

There are now specks of blue and purple nail polish on the floor, the tub, the garbage can, a towel, the toilet seat, and the side of the cabinet.

I never in a million years would have thought she would make such a mess- she is usually really neat- but I think she was so intent on making perfect blue and purple stripes on her toes that she didn't care where else the polish went.
