Valentine fun
Valentine's Day has been a lot of fun this year. It might be safe to say that nobody I know likes Valentine's Day more than Gracie. She has been looking forward to it for weeks. We've been ordered out of her room dozens times so she could work privately on her surprises for us. She actually had a hard time falling asleep last night in anticipation of Valentine's Day. She snuck downstairs with a flashlight first thing this morning and left surprises in the living room for us.
We came to the living room to find this-

She labeled each area with our names and left homemade surprises for each of us. The large book is a scrapbook for the whole family full of pictures and cards. My surprise was a book about babies, Luke got an Abe Lincoln black hat, and Ben got a little notebook that she wants him to use to take notes when he gets an important sales call (her words).
Other fun-

Both Gracie and Luke loved the making and receiving of Valentine cards at school. Our dining room was covered with cards for about 24 hours as they compared their cards.

I loved having the opportunity to volunteer in Gracie's classroom during the kindergarten Valentine party. I was pretty busy and didn't get a chance to take many pictures, but I did snap this one while the class enjoyed their mini pizzas after playing BINGO.

Gracie and Luke spent over an hour on Wednesday working on Valentine cards to send to their grandparents.

Our pink heart- shaped cupcakes were really fun to decorate and even better to eat!
