preschool humor
I'm sitting at the computer eavesdropping on Gracie and Luke completely cracking each other up telling jokes. It sounds something like this-
Gracie: You have the chubbiest neck. crazy giggling
Luke: You have the chubbiest knees. laughing
Gracie: You have the chubbiest big toe. more laughing
Luke: You have the chubbiest hair. laughing, laughing, laughing
and on and on and on.....
We're full of giggles today about everything. At lunch they were giving each other hiccups with these jokes-
Luke: I love you, Miss Peaches.
Gracie: I love you, Mr. Rice Cake.
Luke: I love you more, Miss Banana.
Gracie: I love you more, Mr. Peanut Butter and Jelly.
Not too much else to report around here. The kids and I had just a bit of a stomach bug at the beginning of the week, but it was pretty short lived. They've been really enjoying their little kitchen this week- lots and lots of pretend cooking for me to ooh and ahh over.
Ben and I are in the process of creating a nursery for the new baby. After going back and forth many times on our decision, we've decided to move Ben's office area to our bedroom and use that room as a nursery. Putting the baby in Luke's room sounded great in theory, but when we tried to move a crib, rocking chair, dresser, and changing area into the room, it was way too crowded.
Ben has been a great sport about painting the nursery. Since we don't really know what we want to do with the room, we picked an ivory color for the walls. It took five coats to cover the chocolate brown that was in there, but it was worth it. We can't believe how much bigger the room looks with a lighter color on the walls.
We're looking forward to a visit from the Millers this weekend and then the kids and I are headed to Decatur for a nice, long visit. I have a list about a mile long of all of the things we want to do and people we want to see while we are there. I'm sure the eight days will fly by!
Hope everyone is having a great week!
