the decision has been made

 and Gracie is headed to Mizzou next year!

It was a hard decision, but ultimately, the University of Missouri was the school that she kept comparing every other school to. The School of Journalism there really impressed her, and they have a major, Strategic Communication, that is exactly what she wants to do. She was admitted to the Honors Program and given a pretty good scholarship that would have been hard to turn down. She loved the feel of the campus when we toured and was pleasantly surprised by the town of Columbia too. All in all, Mizzou feels like a great fit for her and we are thrilled with her decision.

She spent all of last week almost ready to declare, but by Friday afternoon she was sure: Mizzou was it. Kate, Gracie, and I ran to a local store that sells college gear and had fun getting some swag to celebrate the decision. We ordered pizza and popped some champagne to make it official.
