Senior Prom

 We weren't sure for a long time if Gracie was going to ever going to get to go to a prom. Her junior prom last year was cancelled because of Covid and the school would not commit to hosting a prom this year until just a few weeks ago. When we learned that she would get to go, we were thrilled!

Prom was held at Busch Stadium. Because the event was limited to seniors from her school only, she was not able to take her boyfriend. She and her favorite girls made a full- day and night event, starting prom day early with a coffee and manicure outing, then getting ready together, then all going to dinner together before the dance, and then ending the fun with a sleepover and next-morning brunch.  Ben, Kate, and I were invited to come to her friend Sarah's house for pictures ahead of time. I loved getting texts from her a couple of times a night with quick pictures. My favorite was a shot of her and her friends drenched from dancing in the rain, smiling ear to ear. Along with the picture, she just texted, "Mom, it's SO FUN!!!"

I love this girl more than words. So glad she had this fun rite of passage night.
