Memorial Day Camping

Our good friends Megan and Garrison own a winery in French Village, Missouri. A few weeks ago, Megan called to see if we'd like to pick a weekend over the summer to "camp" there together. Quotation marks were needed around that word because we were far from roughing it! The grounds were beautiful and we had everything we needed including air conditioned bathrooms, a kitchen, multiple fans, and a stocked bar. For dinner, they requested the kitchen to prepare some food for us and we feasted on pizzas, fried green beans, chicken fingers, and bacon wrapped mushrooms.

The whole trip was so laid back and full of laughter. The highlights for the kids were cooling off in the "pool" (a big metal tub that they ordered to soon use in the ground to create a huge fire pit), driving around in Garrison's golf cart, putting on a talent show for us on the stage, and cooking Smores. Kate and Kendall had the best time together and were all smiles every second we were there.
