.The past two weeks have held nonstop fun at school with too many field trips, parties, and extra activities to keep track of. Fishing trips, trips to Six Flags, a trip to Springfield, Field Days, picnics..... it was an exciting stretch of days to end the 2016-17 school year.

Auggie is now a puppy preschool graduate. He attended a two week training session. I was skeptical, but it really was worth the hassle and price tag. Not that he is perfect, but he is a heck of a lot better. He is a handful, our little Auggie.

I love this time of year when the weather is nice enough to be outside and the mosquitoes are not yet awful. We are outside for a couple of hours each afternoon. I've been particularly thankful for the mild temperatures because we currently do not have air conditioning. The old system that came with the house is dead, so we have a new system being installed this week. So far this year, there have only been a handful of days that the house has been uncomfortable.

Ben had a pretty stressful week this year as he finished up a semester and took two hard finals. He is looking forward to a lighter course load this summer.

I've begun a program called Training For Warriors. It. is. hard. Really hard. But I think I like it. I'm only seven workouts in, but I already feel stronger. I've also been making (mostly) the suggested changes in my diet, which has been harder for me than the workout component. The eight week intensive program ends at about the same time I turn 40, so I am considering the completion of the program my birthday present to myself.

I am looking forward to summer more than I can express. I am my best momma self in the summer when I am spoiled with time with the kids. I am looking forward to many family experiences over the next two months.
