ice storm
We're hunkered down at home this weekend due to an ice storm hitting the St. Louis metro. While the kids were thrilled to get an unexpected four day weekend, the timing stinks because we were supposed to be picking up Auggie yesterday. Our puppy lady called to let us know that the roads in her rural area are awful, so we are now in wait mode until we hear that it is okay to come get our little pup. Fingers crossed for Monday.
In the meantime, it's been a great weekend for board games, art projects, baking, and movies. I'm typing to the sounds of Luke, Drew, and Kate playing a very elaborate cooking game in the basement. I'm also typing to the sounds of lots of bickering during said cooking game, but such is life around here these days. sigh. There are zero plans in our day short of a friend birthday party much later (which is kind of a maybe at this point), so it's another one of those days that may not involve getting out of our pajamas.
