{this week}
This week our laid back summer schedule came to an abrupt halt.
This week we began looking into getting a second Westie. (Interestingly, my kids have had this puppy named for months now and refer to "Auggie and Bear" as if the duo already exists.)
This week Ben traveled all week. Again.
This week there is mixed excitement from the kids about the new school year.
This week Katie decided that at school she would like to be called "Kate" rather than "Katie" after finding out there is another Katie in her class.
This week we found out that we do NOT have to pay kindergarten tuition this year as we were planning. Hoo. ray.
This week I am a little blue about the start of the school year.
This week I have yet to be late to one place. This really is a big deal in my life and something I'm working on.
This week we opened up Paul's camper to clean it out and get it ready for a fall camping trip.
This week I have zero interest in working on shop orders.
This week I am really enjoying having a regular, not construction-zone kitchen.
This week we opened a $450 power bill for last month. Ouch.
This week I have not done a single project around the house. Not one. This is the first week I could say this about since we moved into the house four months ago.
This week I forgot an orthodontist appointment of Gracie's. Just completely forgot it. This is not like me. (I blame the one gazillion events/meetings/practices/lessons suddenly keeping me running.)
This week I have had to wake up to an alarm clock each morning.
This week I have found myself watching hours of Olympic coverage for sports I am not even interested in.
This week Katie informed me that once she begins kindergarten, everything changes. She will no longer be a little kid but will become a big kid.
This week Drew is going rock climbing with a friend from school and he can barely contain his excitement.
This week my big kids are constantly texting back and forth with friends about which middle school team and/or home room everyone has.
