Running a business from your home while your house is on the market and you have no space in the house dedicated for the mess that is your work....... not ideal, for sure.
Every time I get things out for work and get momentum going, I have to stop and put it all away for a showing. I spend more time getting things set up and putting things away than I do actually filling orders.
We had an Open House yesterday and were told we had 45 groups of people through the house in two hours. One family stayed over an hour and were, we are told, placing their furniture in our rooms. Another couple came back this morning for a second showing. My fingers are crossed for a good offer from one of these families because I am not sure I could be any more done and over this house-on-the-market thing.
On a happier, less complainey note--- my husband is actually in town all. week. this. week. No overnight travel at all. I almost can't even believe it. I am almost giddy with the thought. :) The time apart stinks, but it does make me appreciate him even more when he is home. It's nice to have his company and it is nice to have a parenting partner.
