Has your week been as busy as ours? Thank goodness it is Friday! I am looking forward to a slower-paced weekend.
Ben has been out of town this week, so I have been flying solo. When he is away for multiple days, I appreciate him even more. Bedtime, especially, is not as smooth without his help. I miss him most after the kids are asleep, though. I love our time together in the evenings, even if we only watch TV or play Dr. Mario.

Gracie moved up a level at gymnastics on Tuesday and continues to love it. She has had more homework lately than usual. Between art class, gymnastics, her school service club, and homework, she has been a pretty busy little lady. During the week I kind of miss her and look forward to the weekend when we will have more time to do something together.

Luke has been reading nonstop this week. Every time I look at him he has a book in his hands. I love it! He also really enjoyed the nicer weather we had at the beginning of the week and was very happy to practice his new skateboard. I try not to gasp outloud each time he takes a tumble.

Drew. Oh Drew. Drew has been extremely stubborn this week and we have been butting heads on many issues. He is trying out defiance, but done in the most polite way possible. He seems to know that being disprespectful will get him in trouble, so his many attempts to disobey are done with as many manners as he can throw in. Yesterday, for example, I asked him to wash his hands and he replied, "Nope, I don't care to do that please." This was said in a tone that pretty much implied "So there, lady."

On a more upbeat note, he is really enjoying the alphabet lately. He likes to write his name, play with alphabet magnets, and identify letters on signs around town.  He is all about the Leap Frog movie "Phonics Farm" that we found on NetFlix. He asks to watch the same 24 minute movie each and every day. I can't complain because he is really starting to learn the sounds that each letter makes.

Katie has had the busiest week of all, growing and changing more each day! A few of her achievements from this week-
  • While playing with her voice, she has begun to say "mamamamamamamama" with a huge grin on her face.
  • She is eating Cheerios and peas off of her high chair tray.
  • She is crawling on all fours now. Quickly. No more army crawl or scooting for her.
  • She can now pull up to standing:

Have a wonderful weekend!

Look at Katie go! Good job!
That Drew is going to wear you out...at least he's being polite about not doing what you ask. Give them all hugs from the Koski clan :)
