tis the season
Like most everyone else I know, we're not having the healthiest season...and it's only the beginning of December!
The flu has passed, but Gracie and Luke are both dealing with ear infections in both ears. (Our pediatrician actually told Gracie she won the award for the yuckiest ear she's seen in a while.) They are both having a hard time hearing because of all of the fluid in their ears, so I'm doing lots of repeating. Neither has made it through an entire night of sleep in days.
Luke had a mild case of pink eye last week, but Gracie has a pretty bad case of it this week. Her eyes look just horrible! She had to miss two days of kindergarten this week and a ballet class- she was REALLY not too happy. Combine that with painful ears, poor sleep, and eye drops that she hates four times a day...you can probably guess her general mood.
Baby Drew is dealing with a stuffed up nose and, judging by his hoarse little cry, a sore throat. He is waking constantly and spitting up even more than usual.
It's been a long week, but I'm optimistic that we will have a nice weekend. :)
On a happier note- tomorrow are the annual Christmas in the Village festivities here in Zionsville. I'm really looking forward to bundling the kids up and going to watch the parade tomorrow morning.
