short & sweet
I am sitting for just a moment with a cup of coffee. Ten very fast details about life over the past week.....
1. We have listed our house for sale by owner.
2. It is a little overwhelming to list your home while living in it with four kids and a dog.
3. There was a lot of crazy stress last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
4. Today I am strangely detached about it all. It doesn't feel real.
5. Last night we had a showing at 8:30. 8:30! I wanted to say no, but they were very motivated buyers driving in to St. Louis from out of town just to see our house.
6. Today was Special Person Day at preschool. My two year olds were so excited to have their special person at school. Cute beyond words.
7. Soccer season has ended and we suddenly have some free time in our schedule. It is glorious.
8. The time change/ getting dark early is not my favorite. 6:00 in the evening felt like midnight last night.
9. Parent Teacher Conferences were this week at elementary school. Still, after all this time, weird to be on the parent side of things because I still so vividly remember the stress of being on the teacher side of things. The boys are doing well in first and fifth grade.
10. Some friends invited Grace and Luke to go on a mini-vacation with them this weekend from Friday at lunchtime until Sunday late afternoon. They are excited and I trust the parents taking them (and know them well), but it is still a strange thing to happen in my world. I am kind of bummed to miss a weekend with them.
