decisions, decisions

Yay for four day weekends! I have enjoyed having the kids home for an extra day today- it makes me sooo look forward to our summer vacation just around the corner!

After a good morning at home, we headed out after lunch for haircuts. I surprised them by telling them that if they wanted, we could go shopping with the Easter money mailed to them by Nini, Papa, Gram, and Grandpa. The cheers in the car sounded as if I had suggested a trip to Disneyland. Sometimes it is so easy to make them happy- I love it! :)

It took sixty-five minutes at Toys R Us, fifty minutes at Barnes & Nobles, much deliberation on the parts of both Gracie and Luke, and NO deliberation from our impulsive three year old, but the Easter treats have been purchased.

Gracie chose an American Girl book titled "Lists! A Year of Stuff About Me." It is a journal of sorts with room to write about her favorite things and her life.

Luke chose a Captain America figurine after walking around the store with both a small toy microscope and an Imaginext Penguin's Submarine. We have been home almost two hours now and the figurine has yet to leave his hand. I think he chose well.

Drew chose a small motorcycle and three Matchbox cars. Because the hundred Matchbox cars in his room aren't enough. :)

We had some not so pretty moments- because, really, four kids in a toy store with one adult can only go so smoothly, right?- but overall, a very fun afternoon was had by all.
