mardi gras

Ben and I used to go to Mardi Gras in St. Louis each and every year. Our good friend Dave took us for the first time our senior year of college and we were hooked! For a while, Mardi Gras always brought a house full of out of town friends our way. So many great memories!

It's been quite a few years since we've gone, so we are really excited to be going this February to celebrate Ben's birthday. I'm anticipating a great weekend.

While searching for some pictures of Gracie and Luke at four months old, I came across quite a few pictures from Mardi Gras past that made me even more excited-

STL Mardi Gras is a TON of fun...looking at those pictures really makes me want to try to go, too! The later pictures look more like what I remember- COLD and overcast. I had so much fun in college waking up at 5:30 for Kegs-n-Eggs and beer die tournaments. My roommate and I actually painted our beer die table in a Mardi Gras theme and donated it to a friend who lived in Soulard. I have heard that it still gets used today! Have so much fun! Can't wait to see the pics!
